Poster: A snowHead
|
This year's show is at the larger Grand Hall, Olympia, but for 5 days only - 13-17 October. Their website is up and running, but when I say "running" it'd be interesting to see comments from tech-savvy snowHeads - I found it pretty jumpy and clunky, and not easy to find out what's actually happening.
Here's a summary, as announced by the organisers:
"New larger venue
New Live Action Arena– Passion 4 snow – with seating for more than 1500 people, this show will wow, amaze and inspire our visitors. A stimulating visual spectacle that will have everyone on the edge of their seats. Including some of the world’s best skiers and snowboarders, inline skaters and BMX riders performing on our biggest ever ramp all choreographed to music. Passion 4 snow will also include fashion elements, celebrity interviews and resort information. There will be something for everyone in this live action show.
New The Boardroom - Targeting the trendy young urbanite this area will represent the cutting edge of street culture. Featuring live bands and DJ’s within the bar and stage area, this party zone will be rocking until the early hours of the morning playing host to a number of theme nights. Skiing and snowboarding has not been forgotten here, we will be building a unique rail slide slope to cater for skiers, boarders inline skaters and skate boarders.
New Tirol Teaching Zone - Visitors will have the opportunity to learn to ski and snowboard for free on one of the 3 dedicated teaching slopes.
New Talk Zone experts lecturing on everything from avalanche survival to how to get a job in the alps.
New Premier Pass – Visitors will have the opportunity to treat themselves to the luxury surroundings of The VIP Champagne Terrace offering, Private VIP entrance, use of the exclusive VIP Champagne Terrace, a complimentary glass of champagne, complimentary showguide, private cloakroom, concierge Shop and Drop, reserved front row seats for the ‘Passion 4 Snow’ Show plus much more".
See you on the exclusive VIP champagne terrace, then.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

David@traxvax, I thought you'd be busy in the "Tirol Teaching Zone" - you'd be a natural at Tirol Teaching, especially in Austrian national dress.

Here's another feature at the show, just announced: The London Ride 2004, which is a freeski contest in the Ride series at Saas Fee and Verbier.
Hopefully some big air action, with the usual avoidance of the light fittings.
