Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I seem to be constantly seeing posts from people going on holiday shortly and worried that there won't be any snow. This is relatively soon after a big dump - say 1 week or so. The truth is that the snow cover in most places will last many weeks without fresh snow, however the condition of the snow will deteriorate. There will be more ice. The constant "will there be any snow?" questions seem to be odd. 1m cover of snow will last until the next big thaw - there is no cause for alarm, and especially shortly after a large dump.

Please stop stressing, or read a bit more about snow, or read the reports more often. There seems to be a total misconception going on here. Shocked

I am now panicking, there is too much snow! Will I be able to get to Lech? It won't stop snowing. Will I be left to sleep in a sports hall in St Anton. Yikes. Shocked

johnboy, I understand, but it can be a bit tiresome, answering the same questions umpteen times! Sorry, don't mean to sound horrid or whatever, but .... yeah .... this dump will last comfortably for March unless it gets very warm. Very Happy
